Driver Trainer – South Shore of Montreal


Great opportunity for an experienced lift truck operator or recent retiree.

Position Summary
The Driver Trainer provides hands-on and theoretical training for lift truck and material handling equipment operators. Training sessions are delivered in classrooms, at customer sites, or virtually. The Trainer evaluates participants, issues certifications, and ensures all instruction meets CSA standards and Ministry guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lift truck and safety training programs in person or online
  • Conduct theory and practical evaluations; issue certificates for successful participants
  • Present content following company guidelines, CSA standards, and Ministry requirements
  • Provide hands-on instruction on safe lift truck operation
  • Adapt training to meet each customer’s environment and safety needs
  • Assist in developing and updating training materials
  • Complete and submit all required documentation (attendance, evaluations, etc.)
  • Travel to client locations; some evenings and weekends required

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in training or adult instruction
  • Community College Certificate/Diploma or recognized Adult Instructor/Trainer certification (Health & Safety or Power Equipment preferred)
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and virtual platforms (Teams, Webex)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
