Position Summary:

The mandate for the Regional Sales Manager is to optimize and grow the region through the execution of a strategic growth plan focused on sustainable revenue and profit growth, underpinned by a strong focus on team development, collaboration, empowerment and accountability. He/she provides leadership and direction to a team of sales representatives and through effective leadership practices, secure their cooperation to successfully meet the performance requirements of the region and the company.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Regional Sales Manager holds P&L accountability, provides operational sales leadership for the growth and development of sales in the region and is accountable for ensuring sales achieves agreed upon financial, strategic, and operational goals and objectives. This includes the development and implementation of annual plans and budgets for areas under his/her direct control, the monitoring and coordination of regional sales results to annual planning and budget targets and the monitoring of adherence to sales related policies, standards and processes.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Develop and implement an annual sales plan for the region within the context of the organization’s business plan. Ensure plans for the region are aligned and integrated to achieve performance expectations and metrics.
  • Ensure the delivery of optimal results for the region against annual budget targets and appropriate performance metrics (systems, processes, procedures, and activities). Monitor and report regional results against budget targets and performance metrics; identify issues impacting regional operational performance and coordinate the establishment and execution of performance improvement initiatives where and when required to achieve the national annual plan and budget.
  • Monitor the team’s adherence to the policies, standards, and processes.
  • Represent the company in its relationship with vendors, competitors, government agencies, industry associations and other similar groups as is necessary in the overall management of the region. Engages in other outside activities consistent with the region’s responsibilities.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with key accounts and major customers.
  • Participate in meetings and travel as required.
  • Ensure delivery of service level agreements and other arrangements/expectations of customers.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of the sales forecast and reports.
