Position Summary:

The Service Dispatch Coordinator  is responsible for coordinating and dispatching Road Service technicians to customer sites, while maintaining the accuracy of information in our internal systems. Working within a defined territory, this role collaborates with internal and external clients to ensure work orders are processed efficiently including updating JDE until the work order is fully closed (billed). The dispatcher identifies obstacles and resolves issues that could impact on the completion of work orders, billing, and ultimately customer satisfaction. The quality of work in this role directly affects customer loyalty and service profitability.

How You Make a Difference:

  • Handle incoming customer service calls
  • Schedule and coordinate service calls as they are received
  • Dispatch technicians quickly and efficiently
  • Plan and forecast technician workload up to five days in advance
  • Pre-plan and dispatch all work orders related to maintenance schedules before the due date
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding new equipment, deliveries, and rentals
  • Take incoming calls from technicians
  • Manage incoming service request emails
  • Provide technician pager call lists
  • Post work orders as needed
  • Handle calls, complaints, and inquiries in a professional manner
  • Scan and rename work orders for internal systems
  • Administer service requests, ServPost entries, and incoming work order emails
  • Perform other related tasks and projects as required
