Position Summary
The Shipper Receiver Coordinator is responsible for accurate record keeping of all incoming and outgoing shipments in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Occasionally shortages and backorders are received and it is important we are not paying for products we did not receive. Receiving may on occasion require short or long term storage of various products or new equipment. It is important that proper tagging and safe storage practices are carried out to ensure accurate shipping and undamaged products are being sent to our customers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Pick the orders accurately
- Schedule core carrier or courier to deliver shipment
- Record shipments in computer files
- Office communication to advise of orders sent
- Receive all orders and check for any visible damage or shortages
- Keep records for all orders received daily
- Follow established safety procedures during all off-loading
- Prepare proper tagging, staging for shipments or storage of all orders
- Daily safety walk/check of all areas
- Remedy any safety issues immediately
- Follow-up on safety concerns with the safety committee at next general meeting
- Maintain organization of the yard to ensure a safe working area
- Accurate documentation of all SN numbers or model numbers of all units coming into the shop for repair or units being returned to the customer after servicing.
- Data entry of all records to computer files
- Accurate documentation of all units coming into or leaving the building
- Data entry to computer files
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6 months work experience is a related role
- Attention to detail with accuracy transferring information from paper into the computer system
- Proven time management skills to priorities work to meet job and department deadlines
- Committed to internal and external customers satisfaction
- Responsive and take initiative attitude
- Positive and team oriented
- Driven to improve processes independently and within a team to make the department more efficient with positive results.
- JD Edwards an asset.
- MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Warehouse systems and RF scanning methodology and experience preferred
- Certified Forklift License
