Position Summary
- The Business Intelligence Analyst supports the organization’s data and reporting needs by developing, maintaining, and enhancing business intelligence solutions. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytics and reporting outputs that support decision-making.
- Depending on level, the role progresses from developing and maintaining the reports to designing complex data solutions and leading analytics initiatives.
Specific Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain and enhance reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business decision-making
- Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into reporting and analytics solutions
- Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Support and maintain BI platforms, databases, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL-based systems)
- Design and develop data models and queries to support reporting and analytics needs
- Monitor and ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency across systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reports, dashboards, and data pipelines
- Support integrations and data flow between systems, including ERP platforms and third party applications
- Provide user support and training on reports and dashboards to ensure effective use of data
- Document data structures, reporting processes and BI solutions
- Stay current with BI tools, technologies, and best practices and recommend improvements
Education & Work Experience
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field is preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence role.
- Experience with BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and system integrations
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related data tools
- Understanding of ERP systems and data structures
